Bethel is a friendly gathering of believers with a rich herritage and a bright future. Established in 1817, Bethel has become a vital part of the community life in Midlothian, leading people to a fuller, deeper relationship with God, our neighbor , and ourselves. Together we have provided a loving fellowship that encourages one another in spiritual maturity. Our history is important to us, however, our greatest joy is having new people join us in the pilgrimage of faith and trust in Jesus Christ.

Bethel has recently achieved both national and state recognition for the registry of historic places.


Bethel Baptist Church is:

CHRISTIAN:
An autonomous group of believers in Jesus Christ is the church's primary membership.
BAPTIST:
This uniquely identifies the nature of our work and witness throughout history.
VIRGINIA BAPTIST:
Participation in the state convention level produces an opportunity of service and support throughout the Old Dominion.
SOUTHERN BAPTIST:
In cooperation with many other Baptist churches around the world, support of U.S. and foreign ministry is possible through the creative efforts of our Cooperative Program.
MIDDLE DISTRICT ASSOCIATION:
Forty-two Baptist churches provide unique ministry events around this area.
